PRODUCT BUILD SPECIFICATION (What you get)

Carpet Set

Most of our carpet and boot/trunk sets are tool press cut for accuracy. Our patterns have been carefully developed for the correct fit. We bind the carpet edges as Jaguar's original manufacturer bound theirs and can hand bind on request. All carpets are fully sewn and require no sewing or specialized tools for installation. Wherever possible we use and sew in original style heel pads (please inquire if available for your model).

Seat Covers

All of our seat covers are constructed as original and supplied fully sewn requiring only installation. We strongly recommend the replacement of all original seat foams for the very best results. Using old foams show the distorted "look" of the old seat through your new seat covers.

Panels vs Cover

All our interior trim panels are steel die cut for perfect accuracy every time. All of our panels come completely trimmed in vinyl/leathercloth or as original. If you see the word "complete" in our product guide, the complete full panel is supplied ready for installation with no trimming required, i.e. door panel, rear quarter panels, kick panels. If the word "cover" is used then pre-cut material is supplied ready for you to install on your car i.e. dash front fascia panel (vinyl) center console (vinyl, foam, piping, beading). Pay careful attention to this if you comparison shop around for your new trim. Not all of our competitors provide interior trim products this way.

Some manufacturers do not supply panels that are difficult to reproduce and supply only vinyl to recover your old panels. Not so good if your panels are missing or damaged. They supply yards of bulk material in a roll, you then have to cut out the pieces you require using your old material as a guide pattern. But what if it is missing or in very poor condition? BAS eliminate this time consuming and inaccurate way to retrim your Jaguar by supplying all the necessary pieces as pre-cut pattern for great results.

We realize that most home restorers have limited access to all the extra bits of materials and fixing hardware necessary for upholstery. With this in mind we supply all the necessary pre-cut flat backing foams, new door panel fixing clips, carpet studs at no extra charge. Sure to save you both time and money.

THE WORLD'S BEST JAGUAR TOPS/BOOTS & TONNEAUS

All the following weather equipment is handmade in house to exact original patterns and detail to concours show standards. Please do not confuse our weather equipment with any that are mass produced. All of our tops/tonneaus and boots include all necessary and correct "Made in England" fixing hardware. Ask about our "Quality Challenge".

Convertible Tops

All of our convertible tops are supplied with all necessary fixing hardware. Our convertible top patterns and construction are exactly as original. They are carefully made in house. The overall fit, quality and original detail make our tops the bast available anywhere. E-Types can also be supplied with lead shot damper as original on early cars.

Boot Cover/Hood Envelopes

Our Boot Cover/Hood Envelope (covers the convertible top and frame when it is lowered in the stowed position) are made exactly as the original featuring original style leather reinforcing pads, leather bound steel fixing hardware clips affixed with correct copper rivets. Jaguar very often specified the piping/welting and edge binding in a contrasting color usually match the interior color. We also offer this service at no extra charge.

Tonneau Covers

Tonneau(covers the entire cockpit area when the top is in the stowed position). Jaguar Cars never specified/produced a tonneau cover for any E Type model. Most XKs came with a tonneau cover. Tonneau covers are a great way to keep leaves/dust out of your cockpit area. A larger central zip allows the tonneau to be used when driving The rear of t he tonneau resembles the boot cover and can replace this item entirely. We at BAS have designed a unique fixing method that does not require any modification to the existing E.Type. All XK tonneau Covers supplied exactly as original.

English Everflex Vinyl

Made in England, this hardwearing material has a grain that is the closest to Jaguar factory original tops. The inner lining is grey or light tan cotton. English Everflex is the best quality vinyl material for convertible top application. How good? Rolls Royce have used this product for 35 years (available in 10 colors).

Sunfast/Stay fast/Mohair Cloth

Original Jaguar specified Wigan cloth/mohair is no longer made. This modern convertible top replacement acrylic material is a far superior product that resists fading and shrinking. Sunfast is the number one choice of many “show car” owners. (available in 10 colors)
